A new version of the 42" mulch deck has been developed, patterned after the well-performing DM48 design. The design uses cutting blades with a serrated wing (gator blades) and a blade hub with recirculator blades along with a new housing. Field testing has shown that the new configuration is performing very nicely in a wide variety of grass conditions and grass types. The earlier versions of 42" mulching decks, DM42A and DM42B, continue to be available for operators who prefer these decks, but Walker anticipates phasing them out of production as the DM42-2 is time-tested and field-proven.
